The 2015 Women, Food and Agriculture Network (WFAN) conference theme is Women Protecting Pollinators, Protecting Food. The keynote speaker will be Dr. Robin Kimmerer, a distinguished teaching professor of environmental and forest biology at the State University of New York. She is also founding director of the Center for Native Peoples and the Environment, and author of the popular books Braiding Sweetgrass and Gathering Moss. She will talk about living in reciprocity with the land.
Other sessions will focus on creating and protecting habitat for native pollinators, as well as building robust local food systems in communities and supporting women farmers and landowners.
