It additionally names stakeholders who are working to create a set of specific recommendations for supporting greater access to fresh, local food in East Cleveland. The municipality will take steps to further local food system connections including: promoting cooperation between departments and agencies to promote these policies, promoting opportunities for education, outreach, and awareness related to local food production, and to work with the City’s Water Department to develop an affordable water rate and permit process to provide water access for urban agriculture in the city.
